Privacy Policy

The Royer Consultancy, Inc. and all of its brands

Effective: September 29, 2026

When you share your information with us, you’re trusting us with it, and we take that seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you use anything we offer, how we use it, and the choices you have. We kept it in plain words on purpose.

The short version

  • We collect what you give us, like your name, email, and profile answers, plus some basic information about how you use our sites and emails.
  • Your information helps us run our Services and stay in touch with you.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • It’s shared only in the situations in section 4, like with other members and the companies that help us run things.
  • You can unsubscribe anytime and ask to see, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information.

The full policy below is what counts.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

“We,” “us,” and “our” mean The Royer Consultancy, Inc., a Florida corporation, and the brands and businesses it owns or runs. Right now that includes:

  • The TRC Learning Hub, including our online community, The TRC Lounge, and our trainings and courses
  • Catch Your Money, including its podcast, courses, coaching, the Catch Your Money Planner and other services
  • Our podcasts, including In the House and the Catch Your Money Show
  • Laura Royer-Bazile’s coaching, consulting, training and speaking
  • Our books, planners, and other products or services not mentioned above

This policy covers all of our “Services”: our websites (including trclearninghub.com, catchyourmoney.com, and lauraroyer.com), our community, courses and trainings, live and recorded events, podcasts, emails and sign-up forms (including forms hosted by our email platform, Kit), and the products we sell.

Coaching and consulting clients. If you have a signed agreement with us, its privacy terms also apply to that work, like how we handle session notes and recordings. Where that agreement is more specific, it wins.

Other companies’ platforms. When you reach our content through another company’s platform, like a podcast app, a partner’s learning site, or an online store, that company’s privacy policy covers what it collects.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details when you sign up for emails, register for an event, join the TRC Lounge, or buy something. This can include your name, email, phone number, and organization.
  • Your TRC Lounge account and profile. Your community username and password (stored in a scrambled form we can’t read), plus your organization, role, state, and how you heard about us. You can add more, like your job title, areas of focus, languages, a bio, and a photo.
  • What you post and send in our community: posts, comments, replies, messages, photos, and files.
  • Course activity. What you enroll in, your progress, quiz answers, assignments, and certificates.
  • Orders. What you buy, your billing details, and for physical products, your shipping address. Card details go straight to our payment companies. We don’t store your full card number.
  • Organization orders. For bulk or tax-exempt orders, your organization’s details and tax-exempt certificate.
  • Coaching and consulting. What you share with us in sessions, forms, and messages, and any session recordings or notes you agree to.
  • Recordings. If you join a recorded event, the recording includes what you say, show, or type in it.
  • Messages and feedback. What you write when you contact us or answer a survey.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our sites or open our emails, we and the tools we use collect some basic information, like your device and browser type, IP address, the pages you visit, and the links you click. Our email platform also tells us whether you opened an email. In the TRC Lounge, other members can see basic activity, like when you were last active. Section 6 explains how we use cookies.

Information from others

  • Your organization or a sponsor may sign you up for a training and give us your name, email, and role.
  • Payment companies tell us whether a payment went through.
  • Podcast platforms give us overall listening numbers. They don’t tell us who you are.

3. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Create and run your account, and show your profile and posts to other members
  • Deliver what you signed up for or bought, like courses, events, certificates, coaching, and orders
  • Send you our newsletter, training updates, and the TRC Lounge’s weekly summary (you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • Let you know about your account or order, like receipts, password resets, and schedule changes
  • Point you to what fits your work (for example, using your role or state to tell you about trainings made for you)
  • Answer your questions and help when something isn’t working
  • Keep our Services safe, stop spam and fraud, and enforce our terms
  • Learn what’s working so we can improve our trainings and sites
  • Report attendance and completion to a sponsor or funder who paid for your training (see section 4)
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting duties

AI tools. We use AI tools to help run our business, for example to draft and organize our work, manage our sites, and transcribe recorded sessions. Some of that work can involve information you’ve shared with us. We use private, paid accounts, and where a tool gives us the choice, we turn off the setting that lets the company train its AI models on our data.

4. When we share it

We don’t sell your personal information. Here are the only situations where we share it:

  • Other members. Your profile and what you post in the TRC Lounge can be seen by other members. Members can find you in the Members directory and filter it by role, state, areas of focus, and what you’re open to. Messages you send are seen by the people in the conversation and, in rare cases, by our site admins (see section 8). Some answers, like how you heard about us, are seen only by our team.
  • Recordings. If you join a recorded event, we may share the recording with people who registered and use it in our courses and community.
  • Companies that help us run things. For example: our website host (SiteGround), our email platform (Kit), our payment companies (Stripe and PayPal), shipping companies, video meeting tools (like Zoom), recording and transcription tools (like Otter.ai), Google and Microsoft for email and files, Canva for design, our podcast host (RSS.com), and AI tools (like Claude and ChatGPT). We share only what they need to do their job for us.
  • Our advisors. Professionals like our accountant and attorney, when they need it to advise us.
  • Sponsors and funders of your training. If your organization, a funder (like a government agency or foundation), or a partner pays for or sponsors your training, we may share your registration, attendance, progress, and completion with them.
  • Checking a certificate. If someone, like an employer, asks us to confirm your certificate or certification, we may confirm whether it’s valid.
  • Partners, when we tell you first. If we co-host an event or program with a partner, or you take a partner’s course, the sign-up page will say if your details go to them.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our members, the public, or us.
  • A sale of our business. If our company or one of our brands is sold or merged, your information may move to the new owner. We’ll require the new owner to follow this policy for it and to get your OK before using it in a significantly different way.
  • Anyone else, only with your permission.

We may also share numbers that don’t identify anyone, like how many people from each state attended a training, in our reports and marketing.

5. Emails from us

  • When you sign up for a free resource, register for an event, join the TRC Lounge, or buy from us, we may add you to our email list.
  • We send our emails through Kit. Kit tells us whether you opened an email and which links you clicked, so we can send more of what’s useful to you.
  • You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any newsletter or marketing email. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again by mistake.
  • Even after you unsubscribe, we’ll still send messages about your account or orders (like receipts or password resets) while you have an account with us.
  • The TRC Lounge’s weekly summary comes from the community itself. You can change how often you get it, or turn it off, in your notification settings in the TRC Lounge.
  • We don’t send marketing text messages unless you’ve agreed to receive them.

6. Cookies and similar tools

Cookies are small files your browser saves when you visit a site. We use them to:

  • Keep you logged in and remember your settings. The site needs these to work.
  • Understand how our sites are used, like which pages people visit most, so we can improve them.

Some pages include content from other companies, like our podcast player, videos, or sign-up forms. Those companies, and any analytics tools we use, may set their own cookies and collect information about your visits to our sites and other websites over time.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies the site needs, some parts (like logging in) won’t work.

Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so our sites don’t respond to it right now.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy:

  • Your account and profile: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete your profile, except what we need to keep for the reasons below. Some things you shared, like replies in discussions or messages you sent to others, may stay where they are. Tell us if you want them removed, and we’ll delete what we can.
  • Email list: while you’re subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a record so we don’t email you by mistake. Want it deleted completely? Just ask.
  • Course records, certificates, and certifications: while your account is open, so you can show your completion later, and longer when a funder or our certification rules require us to keep training records.
  • Purchase and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually up to seven years.
  • Coaching records: as your coaching agreement says.
  • Backups: copies may stay in our backups for a limited time until they’re replaced.

8. How we protect it

  • Our sites use secure, encrypted connections.
  • We turn on two-step login for our main business accounts.
  • Site admins can see community messages, and they look at them only to check a report, keep the community safe, or follow the law.

No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise your information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your information, we’ll let you know as the law requires. You can help by using a strong password you don’t use anywhere else.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we have about you
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Delete your information (we may need to keep some records the law requires)
  • Send you a copy of your information
  • Stop using your information for marketing

Email info@lauraroyer.com. We’ll confirm it’s you, then reply within 30 days or tell you why we need more time. Where a privacy law that applies to us gives you more rights, we’ll honor them.

Your profile. You can update most of your profile yourself anytime, and some fields let you choose who can see them.

10. Children

Our Services are for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. If you’re outside the United States

We’re based in the United States, and the tools we use store information here. If you use our Services from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may be different from where you live.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services grow. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice on our sites before it takes effect. Before we use information we already have in a significantly different way, we’ll ask for your OK.
