Terms of Service The Royer Consultancy, Inc. and all of its brands Effective: September 29, 2026 Thank you for being here. These terms are the ground rules for using anything we offer, on any of our sites or brands. We kept them in plain words on purpose, so please give them a read. You accept these terms when you create an account, register, enroll, or buy from us, and when you use our sites and services. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use our Services. The short version These terms cover everything The Royer Consultancy, Inc. offers, under every brand. You need to be 18 or older to use our sites and services. In the TRC Lounge, treat people with respect and keep politics out. Never share a client’s personal information anywhere in our spaces. What you post is still yours, and you give us permission to use it in our Services. Ask us anytime to take something down. Every course, training, and resource you sign up for, free or paid, is for you alone unless you have a team license. What we teach is education. It isn’t financial, legal, or tax advice. Florida law applies. The full terms below are what count. 1. Who we are and what these terms cover “We,” “us,” and “our” mean The Royer Consultancy, Inc., a Florida corporation, and the brands and businesses it owns or runs. Right now that includes: The TRC Learning Hub, including our online community, The TRC Lounge, and our trainings and courses Catch Your Money, including its podcast, courses, coaching, the Catch Your Money Planner and other services Our podcasts, including In the House and the Catch Your Money Show Laura Royer-Bazile’s coaching, consulting, training and speaking Our books, planners, and other products or services not mentioned above These terms cover all of our websites (including trclearninghub.com, catchyourmoney.com, and lauraroyer.com), our online community, courses and trainings, live and recorded events, podcasts, emails and sign-up forms, and the products we sell. Together, we call these our “Services.” When we add a new brand or site that links to these terms, they cover it too. “You” means the person using our Services. If you use them for an organization (for example, you sign your team up for a training), you’re agreeing to these terms for yourself and for your organization, and you’re confirming you have the authority to do that. Other policies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Our Community Guidelines explain how we treat each other in the TRC Lounge, and they’re part of these terms. Separate agreements. Coaching, consulting, speaking, and custom training for organizations come with their own written agreement. If that agreement and these terms say different things, the agreement terms supersede for that work. Other companies’ platforms. Sometimes we teach, publish, or sell through another company’s platform, like a partner’s learning site, a podcast app, or an online bookstore. That company’s terms apply there too. 2. Using our Services You must be 18 or older. Give us accurate information when you sign up or buy, and keep it current. One account per person. Your login is just for you, so please don’t share it. Keep your password safe. If you think someone got into your account, email us right away at info@lauraroyer.com. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Use our Services only for lawful purposes and as these terms allow. 3. The TRC Lounge and our other community spaces The TRC Lounge is a professional community for people who do housing counseling, financial capability, and related work. It works because members can trust each other. Our Community Guidelines spell out the details. Here’s the heart of it: Protect your clients. Never share a client’s personal information anywhere in our Services. That includes names, contact details, account or loan numbers, and any story detailed enough to point to a real person. Ask your question without those details. You’re responsible for following your organization’s privacy rules and the laws that apply to your work. Treat people with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks. Keep it on mission. The TRC Lounge is for our work, so leave politics at the door. That means no posts, comments, or debates about political parties, elections, candidates, or political and government issues that aren’t tied to our mission. News that directly affects our work, like a change to housing counseling rules or funding, is welcome when it’s shared to help each other serve clients, not to argue sides. Be honest. Don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t post things you know are false. Keep sales where they belong. No spam or sales pitches outside the spaces we set aside for them. Share only what you have the right to share. Respect other people’s copyrights and privacy. What’s shared in the TRC Lounge stays in the TRC Lounge. Don’t copy or share another member’s posts, messages, tools, or resources outside our community without their permission. Our own materials are covered in section 10. Don’t harm the platform. No viruses or harmful code, no scraping or collecting members’ information, and no trying to get into accounts or systems that aren’t yours. Members’ posts are their own views, not ours, and we don’t review everything before it’s posted. We may remove content, limit features, or pause or close an account when we believe someone has broken these terms or the Community Guidelines, or when we need to keep the community safe. Anything that doesn’t fit the community’s purpose may come down too, even if it doesn’t break a specific rule. Our team will use good judgment and may act without advance notice. See something that breaks the rules? Use the ⋯ menu on the post to report it, or email info@lauraroyer.com. 4. What you post What you post is still yours. That includes posts, comments, messages, profile details, photos, and files. When you post something in our Services, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to host, store, copy, display, and share it within our Services. That permission lasts until the content is removed, plus a limited time in our backups. Want something you posted taken down, like a post or a photo? Message us at info@lauraroyer.com and we’ll remove it. What the TRC Lounge is talking about. Our emails and sites may mention what members are discussing in the TRC Lounge, in general terms that don’t point to anyone. Before we quote your post outside the TRC Lounge, we’ll ask you. You’re responsible for what you post. Please only post things you have the right to share and that follow these terms and the law. Ideas and feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely, without owing you anything. 5. Courses, trainings, and materials Just for you. Every course, training, recording, and resource you sign up for, whether it’s free or paid, is licensed to you alone for your own learning. Free doesn’t mean shareable. Team licenses. Want your team to have it too? Each person can enroll on their own, or your organization can buy a team license. A team license covers the number of people it names, and each person gets their own login. Sharing. Your login is for you alone. Please don’t download and pass along, screen record, copy, resell, post, or share our materials with anyone, including coworkers, unless a team license covers them. Using our materials to teach your own classes, build your own courses, or recreate them with AI tools also needs our written OK. How long. Access lasts for the time listed on the offer. With no time listed, you have access for as long as we offer that course. If we retire a paid course, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice first. Tools for your clients. Some worksheets and tools are made for you to use with your clients. When a material says you can use it that way, go right ahead. Content changes. We may update, change, or retire courses, schedules, and features to keep them current. Certificates, continuing education, and certifications. When you complete a course, you may earn a certificate of completion or continuing education hours. Our certification programs lead to a professional certification from The Royer Consultancy, Inc. Each course page says what it offers and what it takes to earn it. Certification programs may have their own rules, like exams, renewals, and appeals, and those rules are part of these terms. Our certificates and certifications aren’t a government license or HUD housing counselor certification. Whether an employer, funder, or other organization accepts them for its own requirements is up to that organization, unless the course page says otherwise. If our materials are shared. Sharing our materials without permission breaks these terms and copyright law. We may end your access without a refund and take legal action. 6. Coaching and consulting Coaching, consulting, speaking, and custom training come with a separate written agreement that covers the scope, fees, schedule, and confidentiality. These terms cover anything that agreement doesn’t. Coaching is not therapy or mental health care. It also isn’t financial, legal, or tax advice (see section 9). 7. Live events, webinars, and recordings Recording. We may record live trainings, webinars, and events, and we’ll tell you at the start when we are. Recordings can include your on-screen name, your chat messages, and your image and voice if your camera or microphone is on. How we use recordings. We may share them with people who registered and use them in our courses and community. When you join with your camera or microphone on while we’re recording, you agree to that use. If we want to use a clip that shows or names you to promote our work, we’ll ask you first. Staying out of a recording. Keep your camera and microphone off, use only your first name or initials, and skip the chat. Your own recordings. Please don’t record our events in any way without our written permission. That includes screen recording and AI note takers or transcription tools, even ones that never join the meeting as a guest. Recording without permission breaks these terms and violates our copyright in our materials. Changes and cancellations. Each event’s page lists its registration and cancellation terms. If we cancel a paid event, you can choose a spot at a new date or a full refund. 8. Buying from us Prices. Everything is priced in U.S. dollars, shown at checkout or on your invoice. Payments. Your payment goes through Stripe or PayPal, and we don’t see or store your full card number. Charges show on your statement as TRC, Inc. or The Royer Consultancy, Inc. Invoices. Need an invoice? We can invoice organizations, and payment is due by the date on the invoice. Taxes. Sales tax is added where it applies. Tax-exempt organizations can send us their exemption certificate. Payment plans. A payment plan is an agreement to pay the full price over time. Stopping a course doesn’t cancel the payments you have left. Renewals. If an offer renews automatically, checkout will show the price, how often you’ll be charged, and how to cancel, and you’ll agree to the renewal separately. We’ll send the reminders the law requires, and you can cancel online anytime before your next renewal. Refunds. Some offers list their own refund terms. When one doesn’t, courses, recordings, and downloads are final once you have access, since you get them right away. If something went wrong, like a double charge or trouble getting into what you bought, email us and we’ll make it right. Physical products. Shipping costs are shown when you order. If we can’t ship in the time shown (or within 30 days, if no time is shown), we’ll tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund. Did your order arrive damaged or wrong? Email us within 30 days (a photo helps) and we’ll replace it or refund you. Questions about a charge? Please email us before you dispute it with your bank. We’ll work it out with you. 9. Education, not advice Everything we share is for education. That includes our courses, podcasts, emails, planners, tools, community posts, and coaching. None of it is financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and none of it is a promise of any particular result. Every situation is different. Before you make decisions about your money, your business, or your organization, talk with a qualified professional who knows your situation. When we share someone’s results, they’re real, and they aren’t a promise you’ll get the same. Your results depend on many things, including your own effort. If you work in housing counseling or financial capability, our trainings don’t replace the rules and policies that govern your work, like HUD requirements, your funders’ requirements, or your agency’s policies. You’re responsible for how you apply what you learn. What other members share is their own experience, not advice from us. 10. Our content and copyright Everything we create is protected by copyright. It belongs to The Royer Consultancy, Inc. or to the people who license it to us. That includes our courses, trainings, recordings, slides, worksheets, tools, templates, planners, books, podcasts, emails, and the resources we share in the TRC Lounge. Our names and logos (including The Royer Consultancy, The TRC Learning Hub, The TRC Lounge, Catch Your Money, and In the House) are ours too. Please don’t copy, share, sell, post, adapt, or teach from our materials without our written permission, except as these terms allow (like the client tools in section 5). Want to use something? Email info@lauraroyer.com and ask. Permission only counts when it comes from us in writing. 11. Copyright complaints We respect other people’s work. If you believe something in our Services copies your work without permission, email info@lauraroyer.com and include: Your name and contact information The work you believe was copied Where it appears in our Services (a link helps) Your good-faith statement that the use isn’t authorized by the owner, the owner’s agent, or the law A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the work or are authorized to act for the owner Your physical or electronic signature We’ll review it and remove the material if that’s the right call. When we remove something you posted, we’ll let you know and explain how to send a counter notice if you believe it was a mistake. In appropriate cases, we’ll close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyrights. 12. Partners and other companies Partner courses and collaborations. Some courses and materials come from organizations or consultants we work with, or are made together with them. They own their materials, and we respect their copyrights, so please do the same. When a partner’s course comes with its own terms, those terms apply too. If they conflict with ours, the partner’s terms win for that course. Other companies’ sites and tools. Our Services link to and use other companies’ sites and tools, like Zoom, Kit, podcast apps, and payment companies. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. 13. Ending your use You can stop using our Services anytime. To close your TRC Lounge account, email us at info@lauraroyer.com and we’ll take care of it. We may pause or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering a Service. Parts of these terms that by their nature should continue (like ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, and how we settle disagreements) still apply after your access ends. 14. Disclaimers We work hard to keep our Services helpful and running smoothly. Even so, we provide them “as is” and “as available.” We can’t promise they’ll always be available or free of errors, or that they’re right for your situation. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. 15. Limits on our liability To the fullest extent the law allows: We aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or opportunities, that come from your use of (or inability to use) our Services. Our total liability for all claims related to our Services, combined, is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services involved in the 12 months before the first claim, or $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. These limits also don’t apply to fraud or intentional misconduct. 16. Your responsibility to us If someone makes a claim against us because of something you posted, your breaking these terms, or your violating the law or someone else’s rights, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable attorney’s fees. 17. If we disagree Talk to us first. Email us and tell us what’s going on. We’ll try in good faith to work it out within 30 days. Florida law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Where. Any lawsuit about these terms or our Services must be filed in the state courts in Alachua County, Florida, or the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, Gainesville Division, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead. 18. Changes to these terms We may update these terms as our Services grow. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice on our sites before it takes effect. Continuing to use our Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. A change won’t apply to a disagreement that started before it took effect. 19. The fine print If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Waiting to enforce part of these terms doesn’t mean we’ve given it up. You can’t transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours, for example if our business or a brand is sold or reorganized. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our control, like storms, power or internet outages, or a platform going down. You agree we can send you notices and agreements electronically, like by email or on our sites. Nothing in these terms makes us partners, employees, or agents of each other. Section titles are just there to help you find things. They don’t change what the terms say. These terms, the Community Guidelines, the offer, event, or checkout page for what you buy, and any separate written agreement are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. 20. Contact us The Royer Consultancy, Inc. 5200 NW 43rd Street, Suite 102-275, Gainesville, FL 32653 info@lauraroyer.com Questions about these terms? Email us anytime. Emails from us When you sign up for a free resource, register for an event, join the TRC Lounge, or buy from us, we may add you to our email list. We send our emails through Kit. Kit tells us whether you opened an email and which links you clicked, so we can send more of what’s useful to you. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any newsletter or marketing email. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again by mistake. Even after you unsubscribe, we’ll still send messages about your account or orders (like receipts or password resets) while you have an account with us. The TRC Lounge’s weekly summary comes from the community itself. You can change how often you get it, or turn it off, in your notification settings in the TRC Lounge. We don’t send marketing text messages unless you’ve agreed to receive them. 6. Cookies and similar tools Cookies are small files your browser saves when you visit a site. Some pages include content from other companies, like our podcast player, videos, or sign-up forms. Those companies, and any analytics tools we use, may set their own cookies and collect information about your visits to our sites and other websites over time. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies the site needs, some parts (like logging in) won’t work. Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so our sites don’t respond to it right now. 7. How long we keep it We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy: Your account and profile: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete your profile, except what we need to keep for the reasons below. Some things you shared, like replies in discussions or messages you sent to others, may stay where they are. Tell us if you want them removed, and we’ll delete what we can. Email list: while you’re subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a record so we don’t email you by mistake. Want it deleted completely? Just ask. Course records, certificates, and certifications: while your account is open, so you can show your completion later, and longer when a funder or our certification rules require us to keep training records. Purchase and tax records: as long as the law requires, usually up to seven years. Coaching records: as your coaching agreement says. Backups: copies may stay in our backups for a limited time until they’re replaced. 8. How we protect it Our sites use secure, encrypted connections. We turn on two-step login for our main business accounts. Site admins can see community messages, and they look at them only to check a report, keep the community safe, or follow the law. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise your information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your information, we’ll let you know as the law requires. You can help by using a strong password you don’t use anywhere else. 9. Your choices and rights Wherever you live, you can ask us to: Show you the personal information we have about you Correct anything that’s wrong Delete your information (we may need to keep some records the law requires) Send you a copy of your information Stop using your information for marketing Email info@lauraroyer.com. We’ll confirm it’s you, then reply within 30 days or tell you why we need more time. Where a privacy law that applies to us gives you more rights, we’ll honor them. Your profile. You can update most of your profile yourself anytime, and some fields let you choose who can see them. 10. Children Our Services are for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, email us and we’ll delete it. 11. If you’re outside the United States We’re based in the United States, and the tools we use store information here. If you use our Services from another country, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may be different from where you live. 12. Changes to this policy We may update this policy as our Services grow. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know by email or with a notice on our sites before it takes effect. Before we use information we already have in a significantly different way, we’ll ask for your OK. 13. Contact us Questions about your privacy, or want to make a request?
